International Education Conference of Jesuit Higher Education Institutions

Join your Jesuit international education colleagues in Puebla, Mexico, for networking and collaboration!

It is a pleasure to invite you to the International Education Conference to be held in Mexico this November 4th – 6th, 2019 at Universidad Iberoamericana Puebla.

The Decree 2, 8 of the General Congregation 36 says about Networking: “Collaboration naturally leads to cooperation through networks. New technologies of communication open up forms of organization that facilitate collaboration. They make it possible to mobilize human and material resources in support of mission, and to go beyond national borders and the boundaries of Provinces and Regions”.

As International Educators networking is part of our daily life, and this meeting offers an occasion to discuss and build projects to strengthen our mission in Jesuit institutions.

On his address at the World Meeting of Jesuit Universities in Bilbao, July 2018, Father General Arturo Sosa, SJ, said: “For Jesuit universities, it is not enough to develop intellectual depth and share it as an element in human education and development. Jesuit universities are also called to be a form of ministry — that is, a way of announcing the Good News of the Gospel more effectively and of becoming aware of God’s presence in the world and the action of his Spirit in history so that we can we can join in what the Spirit is doing and help in spreading freedom”.

We have an excellent opportunity to be part of the respond our institutions are giving to this call.

The purpose of the meeting is to be a space for joint reflection, exchange of experiences and best practices, and the definition of global actions and projects for students worldwide from our network.

 

Schedule

Transportation between Ibero campus and hotels will be provided.

Monday November 4

Check in at Ibero Puebla will open at 8:00 AM. Opening Session will take place at 9:00 AM; the program will continue until 5:30; we will celebrate our meeting with a gala dinner.

Tuesday November 5

Session will continue from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM on Tuesday, November 5.

Wednesday November 6

Session will begin at 9:00 AM and conclude at 3:30 PM, closing lunch included.

Registration cost is $350.00 USD per participant (7,400 Mexican pesos). Registration includes session materials, refreshments and meals as indicated in the meeting schedule.
